Nine years ago, I made the best decision of my career. After 15 years in the construction industry, I was tired. Tired of working an unfulfilling job. Tired of worrying about my financial future. After a long conversation with my good friend and fellow Liberty National Agency Owner, Jeff Miller, I took a leap of faith, joined Liberty National as an Agent, and never looked back.
Right from the start, I knew this was my opportunity to provide my family with a promising financial future. I immediately loved the Company and the family atmosphere within it. It was clear very quickly this was a Company that cares about its clients and the people who work so hard servicing them. I also recognized the opportunity for growth that was missing from my former job. Fueled by ambition, I set out with a fearless mindset, working up the ranks to Agency Director, and ultimately, Agency Owner.
As an Agency Owner, I enjoy the opportunity I get every day to help people change their lives. Through dedication, hard work, and following the activity model, you have an incredible opportunity for success. Being an Agency Owner allows me to provide for my family and spend more time with them than most careers allow. When I started at Liberty National, I just wanted to be able to send my five kids to college. One of my sons is at Harvard right now, and I never thought I’d be able to afford his tuition, but now I can. The opportunity I was given with Liberty National has not only made an impact on me, but it’s going to change my family for generations to come.
When I first became an Agency Owner, the biggest struggle I faced was implementing the proper systems needed to make sure the day-to-day operations of the Agency ran smoothly. My advice to Agency Directors and Supervising Agents with dreams of running their own Agency is this: master the three step recruiting process. Recruiting is the most important part of being a successful Agency Owner.
