Ben Hastings, Liberty National, and NASCAR
Ben Hastings Agency of Liberty National, in Columbia, South Carolina, loves NASCAR. After all, South Carolina is just one state south from where most NASCAR teams area headquartered. While Ben’s primary office is in Columbia, South Carolina, Hastings also has an office located in Greenville, South Carolina. And both of those cities are close enough to drive to Darlington Raceway in Darlington, South Carolina.
Darlington Raceway, also known as The Lady in Black, isn’t a typical track due to one of the corners having an egg shape. For anyone who says NASCAR is just a bunch of cars going round and round in circles, this egg-shape turn makes that statement untrue.
While Ben Hastings Agency is closer to Darlington Raceway … everything is bigger in Texas.
Ben Hastings Liberty National Agency Attends the Duck Commander 500
On Sunday, April 6, 2014, Ben Hastings Agency was represented at the Duck Commander 500 Sprint Cup Series NASCAR Race at Texas Motor Speedway, in Fort Worth, Texas. Agency Director Bruce Alden and Liberty National Home Office staff were guests of Hendrick Motorsports. Although the race day was plagued with rain and cold weather, nothing dampened meeting Kasey Kahne, Jeff Gordon, and Dale Earnhardt Jr, all drivers for Hendrick Motorsports.

Bruce and Liberty National Home Office employees toured the garage and a driver’s hauler, enjoyed hanging out at the National Guard hospitality area with other Hendrick guests, and watched the driver introductions from the track. The highlight for most of the Liberty National entourage was seeing the Duck Dynasty reality TV stars. Jase Robertson performed drivers’ introductions for 10th spot down to the Pole Winner, Tony Stewart. Si Robertson sported a one-of-a-kind orange race suit that captivated ticketholders in the grandstands.

The Chase Is On
While the Duck Commander 500 was ultimately called for rain on Sunday, the Ben Hastings Agency and Liberty National management had a fabulous time exploring the pits and seeing NASCAR up close and personal. The entire Hendrick Motorsports team was first class and treated us to a royal experience at Texas Motor Speedway. We look forward to watching the Chase for the Cup and seeing who ends up in Victory Lane for the 2014 Championship.
