Benjamin Disraeli, twice British Prime Minister, once said, “There is no education like adversity.” Wow, is that ever true! Every adversity, every challenge I have encountered in my life has given me a great education. I learned what to do and what not to do … what worked and what did not work … who was with me and who was against me. Overcoming adversity involves knowing exactly what you are trying to accomplish and staying with it until the task is done.
I like what Ralph Blum said about adversity. “Nothing is predestined; the obstacles of your past can become the gateways that lead to new beginnings.”
Attitude is everything. When you tap into the power of your attitude to transform into action, it impacts everything you do.
The American Heritage Dictionary defines attitude as ‘a state of mind or feeling with regard to some matter’. Attitude for me is defined in one word, ‘life’. Your attitude makes an incredible difference in your life. It can be a powerful tool for positive action. A bad attitude can be a poison that cripples your ability to fulfill your potential. Your attitude dictates whether you are living life or life is living you. Your attitude dictates whether you are on the way or in the way. See your challenges as opportunities to learn. See the good in every bad situation.
Grow an attitude that believes you will reach your goals. The next time you are faced with a difficult challenge at Liberty National, focus on staying positive. Your setbacks can be setups for even greater opportunities. Like our cars need a little tune-up, sometimes our attitudes do too. Climb higher with a more positive attitude and live your best life.
